A large necropolis of the Wu-sun period was found in the Asy valley, in Kyzylbulzk Gorge, 3 kilometers south-west from observatory.
Two large kurgans are located on the upper terrace at distance of 300 meters from each other. Beneath, on the lower terrace mounds of common members of the tribe are situated. Majority of them are badly preserved.
A double stone laying encircles the largest kurgan with stone facing of embankment.
Archaeological excavations of large barrows gave interesting findings. There was a couple burial with one of the warriors interred in the main burial vault and another - in the lateral chamber. Burial construction is represented by a pit-grave with a wooden frame. Close to the right shoulders of buried there were placed a cup and a bowl. In one grave a small bronze knife and a rump - food for the life hereafter - are fixed. Of unusual origin was a wound of the buried - his body was cut out from shoulder up to the hip. As it seems, it was rather difficult to inflict a wound with a broad sward.
A large number of pottery sherds were found inside the stone fence which testify a multiple funeral feasts held beside the barrow.
It is notable, that embankment of another large burial ground is surrounded only with one circle. In other respects construction features of the barrows are the same, but differ from the small mounds without facings.
