This is the right side gorge, connected to the main – the Kargalinka gorge. Its upper part is located high above the main gorge and visually as if it hangs over it at quite a high altitude. The middle part of the gorge falls sharply down from a height of 3000 m to 2400 m within a very short (1.5 km) stretch.
The area is a trough (trough-shaped or U-shaped) valley. Its eastern border is the Kargaly spur with Kargaly peak. The peak is completely rock, it does not have any snow patches and glaciers. The western slope abounds in unusual rock formations - needles, spires, fantastic sculptures. From Kargaly peak to the west lies a low ridge that after the change of direction from the west to the north leads to a heavily damaged rocky peak, that fully justifies its name - Kamensky peak, which restricts the valley from the west. The eastern slopes of the peak in its upper part are rocky and below are scree. To the west the slopes are cut off by rock walls.
Crossing the saddle, again you can get into the Kargaly gorge, into its mountainous part.
In the middle of the valley there is a small spring, the only source of water in this place. It is important information because all the way out of the Kargaly or Almaty gorges there is no water, so you need to take it with you in sufficient quantity.
Visyachaya Dolina is clearly visible from the city of Almaty.
