Natural boundary of Kagaly-Bastau situated in the north-east part of Anrakhay Mountains, 16 km from Karabastau village of Zhambul region, Almaty area.
The settlement of the Early Iron Age (the middle of the 1 millennium BC) was surveyed by archeologists situated in the top part of the Natural Boundary of Kagaly-Bastau It were the pits traced on the surface formed by three earlier premises. Possibly, dwellings represented the small semi-dugouts put from a stone with low square-rectangular roofs.
Similar by its design and planning the settlement that have the best safety was surveyed to the North from neighboring Tyrnykty Natural boundary.
Kagaly-Bastau settlement situated on the high coast of the stream to the north of the big shelter for cattle. By the found fragments of ceramic ware dating of these dwellings is confirmed by the middle of the 1 millennium BC.
