The burial ground is located in the Rayymbek region of Almaty oblast, 24 km to the North from the village of Kegen.
The interesting and belonged to different times burial ground is situated on the left bank of Temirlik River, on a terrace. Here at least, three fencings of the Bronze Age with stone boxes were traced, but all of them were closed by thick flows of the soil and stones. Therefore to find and track them it is quite difficult and nevertheless their some designs are looked through: top parts of stone boxes and fencing.
Embankments of barrows are much better noticeable; they were constructed from the soil and stones. In spite of the fact that they small and become swollen, they are quite well visible. Also this chain of barrows is visible; they were built in one line for noting a route of migration.
That is absolutely small burial ground by its sizes actually marked an entrance to the noble Kegen Valley where barrows meets not only simple, but also huge imperial burials. This burial ground at the entrance doesn’t allocate with the sizes, but it is the first at the entrance to Kegen Valley.
