The name means "good pasture for the horses." In the stow there is a permanent year-round meteorological station of the same name. Next to it there was built a gabion mudflow dyke (a gabion is a metal mesh filled with stones), 17.0 metres high with the capacity of the mudflow storage reservoir of 0.23 million cubic metres.
From the dyke it is impossible to see the entire panorama of the cirque of the Tuyuksu glacier, since it is closed by a high moraine roller in the upper part of the stow. Only Ordzhonikidze and Tuyuksu peaks are visible. In the northeast above the right slope of the stow Yoshkar-Ola peak towers.
To the north of the Mynzhilki stow, to the right in the crest above the road a rock bastion of Yoshkar-Ola summit can be seen.
From the meteorological station along the trail you can climb to the popular camp called Alpingrad, located in the cirque of the M. Mametova glacier at the foot of Amangeldy and Pioner peaks. It offers a view of the central part of the Tuyuksu glacier and the Kumbel spur in the west, where such summits as Locomotiv, Z. Kosmodemyanskaya (the first woman who was awarded posthumously the title of Hero of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War), Molodyozhnaya, Titov are located. In the Kumbel spur there are three passes: Locomotiv and Molodyozhny, that lead to the Kumbelsu gorge, and the Titov pass which leads to the Gorelnik gorge.
From the Alpingrad camp through the Pioner and Uchitel passes you can get to the Bogdanovich glacier, from which the Sauruksai stream, a tributary of the Levy Talgar river, begins. The Manshuk Mametova pass leads to the Levy Talgar gorge to the "Solnechnaya polyana" (Sunny meadow). From the Alpingrad camp ascents to Amangeldy summit, massif of Pioner- Uchitel, Panfilov Heroes (28 Panfilov Guardsmen), Manshuk Mametova, Antikainen are made. Further there is widely known moraine lake №6.
Above the beginning of the trail to the Alpingrad between the right slope and moraines of the Tuyuksu glacier there are two more camps - Tashkent and Chyorny Camen (Black Stone). The Tashkent camp is a small closed grassy area, not windy. Therefore, at the camp it is warm as in Tashkent. The Chyorny Camen camp is located higher and was named for the characteristic large dark-colored stone. From these camps ascents to the summits of the cirque of the Tuyuksu glacier located in the Maly Almaty spur are made, or category passes that lead to the Levy Talgar gorge are gone through in the Maly Almaty spur south of M. Mametova peak.
