Burial ground Tauchilik - III is situated 13,2км to the West from modern Saty village of the Rayimbek region of Almaty area. The complex of archaeological sites dating different times was surveyed by Almaty Prospecting Expedition in 2005. It is situated in 2 km to the East from the settlement of the Bronze Age and the Saka Period and it was the cemetery of the same periods and tribes.
The burial ground is situated on the third flood plain terrace of the left coast of Shelek River at the bottom of Ily Alatau Ridge under the rocky ridge. The territory of the site represents ideally flat platform with the wide of 100-120 m and about 1 km long between two cones of carrying out from mountain gorges. Large boulders by few tons by the weight, fallen upon them how graves were built are recorded above separate burial constructions. The burial ground occurring at different times and consists of 38 barrows of the Early Iron Age and 10 chains of stone fencings of rectangular and square forms of the Bronze Age.
Fencings of the Bronze Age are concentrated in northwest and central part of a burial ground. They were constructed from the large stone plates put at an edge and the smooth river boulders, laid flat wise which are overhang over an earth surface up to 0,4м. Fencings were made in double chains at which they have adjacent walls, giving the basis to consider them family. In each such family chain is from 6 (apart from small extensions which contain probably children's burials) to 12 large fencings. The sizes of large fencings are from 2 x 5м to 6 x 8м. However, the total number of chains of fencings and fencings were didn’t establish because of strong alluvial demolitions. On the surface separate stone plates of such fencings were traced. The total area of a burial ground of the Bronze Age makes about 5000 sq.m.
Barrows of the Early Iron Age are dispersed by all territory of a burial ground and extended in the chains focused in the general direction the East – West. Embankments of barrows were put from the soil and stones, flat, become swollen, in the top part are flattened, some of them have robbery traces, covered with turf. Diameters of embankments of barrows from 4 to 12м, from 0,2 high to 0,6м. On the basis of embankments of barrows ring stone fencings are traced. Distances between barrows are from 10 to 80м.
According to quantity of buried, the archaeological complex consisting of the settlement Tauchilik-I and the burial ground of Tauchilik-III, existed throughout the Late Bronze and Early Saka Period within three-four centuries.
